Dalgona Honey Toffee Iced Latte

Dalgona Honey Toffee Iced Latte

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Dalgona Candy

  • 5 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp baking soda

Latte

  • Ice

  • 7oz cold milk

  • dalgona candy

  • 1 or 2 espresso shots

Instructions

Dalgona Candy

  1. In a small pan, add sugar. Turn your stove on medium-high heat. Using wooden chopsticks or any other small tool, stir sugar constantly. Sugar will agglomerate into small lumps before melting.

  2. Once all sugar has melted (light brown colour) remove the pan from heat and add in baking soda. Stir vigorously until the consistency thickens. If the sugar hardens a little, put your pan back onto the stove for just a few seconds.

  3. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet. Let it cool down (to cool faster, place it in the fridge for 15 minutes).

  4. Using a rolling pin, break the dalgona into small pieces.

Latte

  1. In a glass, place ice cubes. Pour in cold milk.

  2. Drop 1 tbsp of the crushed pieces of dalgona. They will melt into the milk and give it a caramel flavour.

  3. Add some bigger dalgona pieces on top.

  4. Pour the espresso shot.

  5. Add extra dalgona to get some crunchy ones. The bottom ones will be softened by milk and coffee.
