Iced Ube Latte (also known as purple yam coffee)

Iced Ube Latte

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup ube halaya jam

  • ½ cup milk or non-dairy alternative

  • ice

  • 2 shots espresso or ½ cup brewed coffee

  • whipped cream optional

Instructions

  1. Combine ¼ cup Ube Halaya Jam with ½ cup milk in a jar and heat in the microwave until warmed through. (Alternatively, you can heat the mixture in a small saucepan on the stove).

  2. Give the ube milk mixture a stir to ensure there are no lumps.

  3. Add the ube milk into a tall glass.

  4. Top with ice.

  5. Pour espresso/coffee over the ice and garnish with whipped cream (optional).

  6. Stick in a straw, give it a stir and enjoy immediately.
