Chai Cinnamon Blondies

Chai Cinnamon Blondies

PREP TIME: 10 mins

COOK TIME: 20 mins

INGREDIENTS

-          ½ cup butter softened

-          1 cup brown sugar

-          1 large egg room temp

-          2 teaspoon vanilla

-          1¼ cups all-purpose flour

-          1 teaspoon baking powder

-          ¼ teaspoon salt

-          ½ cup cinnamon chips

Chai Spice Topping

-          2 tablespoon granulated sugar

-          1½ teaspoon cinnamon

-          ½ teaspoon ginger

-          ¼ teaspoon cardamom

-          ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg

-          ⅛ teaspoon cloves

INSTRUCTIONS

1.       Preheat oven to 350 F. Line and spray and 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.

2.       In a medium mixing bowl beat butter and brown sugar on medium speed until combined. Add egg and vanilla and mix again.

3.       Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix until mostly combined. Fold in cinnamon chips.

4.       Spread batter evenly across baking pan.

5.       Mix all chai spices together and sprinkle across the top of the uncooked batter.

6.       Bake for 20 minutes, or until edges are browned and pulling away from the sides of the pan.
